Africa Film Academy and Lagos State Government Partner to Train Young Creative Practitioners in Film in a Box Lagos 2023

LAGOS, Nigeria - The Africa Film Academy (AFA) and the Lagos State Ministry for Tourism, Arts & Culture under the Lagos State Creative Industry (LACI) initiative have joined forces to launch the second edition of Film in a Box Lagos. This initiative is set to conduct free trainings for young creative practitioners in Ikeja, Ikorodu, Badagry, Lagos Island, and Epe.

Film in a Box is a six-week film training course facilitated by the Africa Film Academy. The course covers the core elements of making a film, from scriptwriting, directing to Costume to Make Up to Set Design to Props Management to production to cinematography and post-production. The course also includes practical activities, such as shooting and editing, as well as seminars and tutorials from experienced filmmakers and professionals. The course is designed to help budding filmmakers learn the necessary skills to create and market their own films.
